Biographical anamnesis and its use for people with dementia

Abstract:

Zaměřila jsem se na využívání dat z biografické anamnézy během aplikování konceptu bazální stimulace u osob se stařeckou demencí. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda je biografická anamnéza skutečně využívána a pokud ano, jakým způsobem. Také jsem se zaměřila na způsob získávání informací do biografické anamnézy a na informace, které pracovníci vyhodnocují jako užitečné v péči o uživatele se stařeckou demencí. Pro realizaci analýzy jsem použila kvalitativní výzkum, ke kterému byly využity polostrukturované rozhovory. Závěrem analýzy bylo zjištění, že biografická anamnéza není dostatečně využívána během bazální stimulace, získávání informací do biografické anamnézy však souhlasí s postupem, který je k tomu určený. Informace, které jsou pro pracovníky pracující s osobami se stařeckou demencí důležité, jsou především znalost životních událostí uživatele, jeho rodinných příslušníků a zájmů.

Abstract:

I focused on the use of biographical anamnesis data during the application of basal stimulation in people with geriatric dementia. The aim was to find out if the biographical anamnesis is actually used, if yes, then which way.I also focused on way how to get information into a biographical anamnesis and on information that staff evaluate as useful in the care of clients with geriatric dementia. I used qualitative research to implement the analysis, using semi-structured interviews. The conclusion of the analysis was the finding that the biographical anamnesis was not used sufficiently during basal stimulation,but the acquisition of information in the biographical anamnesis agrees with the procedure to be determined. The informations that are important for workers working with people with geriatic dementia are primarily knowledge of the life events of the client, his family members and interests.
