Communication tools in the project Housing First in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje jedné z nejzávažnějších forem sociálního vyloučení, kterou je bezdomovectví, a popisuje jeho příčiny i dopady. Řešení této problematiky vyžaduje komplexní přístup, proto práce odkrývá způsoby, jakými se s osobami bez domova pracuje v České republice. Původní vícestupňový model byl rozšířen o koncept "Housing First", který je považován za největší inovaci v oblasti bezdomovectví za posledních 30 let. Protože se tento přístup vyznačuje intenzivní podporou klientů, jsou na jeho pracovníky kladeny vysoké nároky. Z tohoto důvodu se práce zaměřuje na pracovníky projektu "Housing First"v České republice a na jejich potřeby, zejména v oblasti informovanosti a komunikace. Komunikační nástroje, které pracovníci v současné době využívají, jsou pro ně velkým přínosem, ale jejich rozšíření přinese více prostoru pro předávání zkušeností a sdílení dobré praxe. Optimální model interní komunikace v projektu "Housing First" v České republice, který byl na základě diplomové práce vytvořen, umožní nové komunikační nástroje a akce lépe plánovat a realizovat.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis concerns homelessness as one of the most serious forms of social exclusion and describes its causes and impact. Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive approach, therefore the thesis reveals the ways of working with homeless people in the Czech Republic. The original multi-level model was extended by the "Housing First" concept, which is considered to be the biggest innovation in the matter of homelessness in past 30 years. As this approach is characterized by intensive support to the clients, the demands placed on the employees are high. For this reason the thesis is focused on the "Housing First" project staff in the Czech Republic and their needs, especially in the field of awareness and communication. The communication tools currently used by the employees are very beneficial, but their extension will bring more space for sharing experience and best practices. The optimum model of internal communication within the project "Housing First" in the Czech Republic, which was created based on the diploma thesis, will allow better planning and implementation of new communication tools.
