Youth Carers through the View of Adults

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na to, jak dospělí nahlíží na mladistvé pečující. I mladiství pečující jsou součástí systému dlouhodobé neformální péče, není jim však věnována taková pozornost, jakou by si zasloužili. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jak dospělí nahlíží na poskytování péče mladistvými pečujícími. Cílem teoretické části je objasnit výchozí rámec teoretických a metodologických hledisek pro výzkumnou část práce. Z těchto důvodů se v teoretické části věnuji adolescenci, dospělosti a dlouhodobé neformální péči. Pozornost také věnuji mladistvým pečujícím v kontextu neformální dlouhodobé péče a pohledu veřejnosti na tyto mladé pečující, což je stěžejní pro pochopení kontextu diplomové práce. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit, jak dospělí vnímají péči, která je poskytována mladistvými pečujícími. Pro porozumění této problematice jsem zvolila kvalitativní strategii. Ve výzkumné části jsou analyzována data.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on how adults perceive adolescent carers. Despite being integral to the long-term informal care system, adolescent carers do not receive the attention they warrant. The objective of this thesis is to investigate adults' perceptions of care provided by adolescent carers. The theoretical section aims to clarify the initial framework of theoretical and methodological perspectives for the research part of the thesis. For these reasons, the theoretical part delves into adolescence, adulthood, and long-term informal care. Greater emphasis is placed on adolescent carers in the context of informal long-term care and the public's perception of these young carers, which is crucial for understanding the thesis's context. The research part aimed to discover how adults perceive the care provided by adolescent carers. A qualitative strategy was adopted to comprehend this issue. Data are analysed in the research section.
