Quality of life of childern with astma bronchiale

Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavním cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit kvalitu života dětí s astma bronchiale (AB). Do jaké míry AB ovlivňuje kvalitu života v závislosti na věku a pohlaví jedince, dále vliv typu a délky AB na kvalitu života dítěte. Bylo stanoveno 5 dílčích cílů. Metodika: Pro dosažení cílů této práce byl použit standardizovaný dotazník Pediatric Athma Quality of Life (PAQLQ) a Pediatric Asthma caregiver quality of life (PACQLQ). PAQLQ byl vytvořen k měření problematiky fyzické, emocionální a sociální oblasti života dítěte s diagnostikovaným astma bronchiale (AB). Výzkum probíhal od října 2020, do ledna 2021 v alergologických ambulancích nacházejících se v Moravská Ostravě a Přívoze, Ostrava - Mariánské Hory a Ostravě - Hrabůvce. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 99 dětí a 55 rodičů. Výsledky: Průměrná hodnota celkové kvality života dětských astmatiků v této práci vyšla 6,01. Děvčata hodnotila svou kvalitu života s astmatem o něco hůře nežli chlapci. Celkové hodnocení PAQLQ děvčaty (5,83) chlapci (6,16) Dle věkového rozpětí nejhůře svou kvalitu života hodnotila věková skupina v rozpětí 11 až 14 let (5,77), nejlépe věková skupiny 7 až 10 let (6,32). Výsledky týkající se délky trvání AB zjistili, že nejlépe hodnotí svou kvalitu života jedinci, kteří se s AB léčí kratší dobu nežli ti, kteří se s AB potýkají dlouhodobě. Intermitentní typ astmatického onemocnění ovlivňuje respondenty nejméně (6,06) těžký typ astmatu byl hodnocen nejhůře (4,17) Závěrem byl tento výzkum zaměřen na porovnání kvality života dětí s AB a jejich rodiči. Vyšlo najevo, že rodiče vnímají kvalitu života hůře než jejich potomci. Závěr: Výsledné hodnocení kvality života dětí s diagnostikovaným AB v práci byly vyhodnoceny pozitivním směrem. 5 stanovených nulových hypotéz bylo vyvráceno. Dle dětí s AB jejich kvalitu života nejvíce ovlivňuje doména symptomy (5,88) a nejméně doména emocionální (6,24). Rodiče vnímají svou kvalitu života lépe v doméně emocí (5,3) nežli v doméně aktivit (5,29).

Abstract:

Aim: The main aim of the research was to determine the quality of life of children with bronchial asthma (AB). To how much does AB affect the quality of life depending on the age and sex of the child, as well as the influence of the type and longiness of AB. 5 sub-objectives were set. Methodology: To achieve the goals of this work, a standardized questionnaire Pediatric Athma Quality of Life (PAQLQ) and Pediatric Asthma caregiver quality of life (PACQLQ) were used. PAQLQ was created to measure physical, emotional issues and social areas of life of a child diagnosed with bronchial asthma (AB). The research took place from October 2020, until January 2021 in allergology clinics located in Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz, Ostrava - Mariánské Hory and Ostrava - Hrabůvka. The research involved 99 children and 55 parents. Results: The average value of the overall quality of life of pediatric asthmatics in this work was 6.01. Girls rated their quality of life with asthma a little worse than boys. Overall rating PAQLQ girls (5.83) boys (6.16) According to the age range, the age group in the range of 11 to 14 years (5.77), the age group 7 to 10 years (6.32) rated their quality of life the worst. The results of longiness of AB found that children who were treated with AB for a shorter period of time than those who had been suffering from AB for a long time evaluated their quality of life best. Intermittent type of asthmatic disease affects respondents least (6.6) severe type of asthma was rated the worst (4.17). This research also focused on comparing the quality of life of children with AB and their parents. It turned out that parents perceive the quality of life worse than their offspring. Conclusion: The final evaluation of the quality of life of children diagnosed with AB at work was evaluated in a positively. 5 established null hypotheses were refuted. According to children with AB, their quality of life is most affected by the domain of symptoms (5.88) and at least the emotional domain (6.24). Parents perceive their quality of life better in the domain of emotions (5.3) than in the domain of activities (5.29).
