Social Support for Elderly People in Institutional Care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá "Sociální oporou seniorů v institucionální péči". Zaměřuje se především na osobní postoje seniorů k poskytované sociální opoře. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat názory seniorů využití sociální opory ve vybraném institucionálním zařízení. Teoretická část podává vysvětlení základních pojmů a uvádí do problematiky sociální opory a institucionální péče, zaměřené na seniory. Zaměřuje se na definování struktury, zdroje poskytování, možná úskalí a formy. V kontextu sociální opory se zabývá potřebami seniorů a nutnosti této formy opory využít. Navazující praktická část využívá poznatků z předchozí teoretické části a pojednává o otázce "Zda mají senioři dostatek sociální opory?", v návaznosti na místo jejich pobytu. Z hlediska specifikace zkoumané problematiky a cílové skupiny bylo pomocí metody kvalitativní výzkumu sledováno a následně vyhodnoceno, zda poskytovaná sociální opora koresponduje s potřebami seniorů. Hlavním objektem zkoumání jsou osoby seniorského věku žijící v pobytové sociální službě. Předmětem zkoumání jsou názory a postoje k poskytované sociální opoře. Základním výzkumným nástrojem k vyhodnocení studie slouží polostrukturovaný rozhovor.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis describes "Social support of Elderly people in Institutional care". Thesis is targeting on the personal approaches of seniors towards the provided social support. The main objective of the work is to analyse opinion of the elderly people on the possibilities of use selected institutional facility. The Theoretical part is concerned with the explanation of the basic terms and introduces the issue of social support and institutional care, focused on the elderly people. The thesis focuses on defining the structure, source of provision, possible pitfalls and form. In the context of social support, work deals with the needs of the elderly people and the need to use this form of support. The following practical part uses the findings from the previous theoretical part and discusses about the question "Do seniors have enough social support?", based on their place of stay. From the point of view of the specification of the investigated issues and the target group was used qualitative research method to monitor and then evaluate whether the provided social support corresponds to the needs of the seniors. The main object of the thesis is elderly people living in residential social service. The subject of investigation is the opinions and attitudes towards the social support provided. Basis research tool used for evaluating the study was used semi-structured interview.
