Factors influencing the choice of contraception in women - university graduates

Abstract:

Cíl studie: Hlavním cílem výzkumu bylo rozšířit poznatky o volbě kontracepční metody a o faktorech, které mohou tuto volbu nejčastěji ovlivňovat. Typ studie: Kvantitativní typ studie. Metodika: V souboru 250 žen - vysokoškolaček náhodně vybraných byla dotazníkovou metodou hodnocena kritéria volby antikoncepční metody. Podmínkou pro vyplnění dotazníku byl věk od 19 do 25 let. Respondentky byly dotázány na své názory a postoje formou Likertovy škály a na další otázky týkající se volby kontracepční metody. U některých otázek bylo možné zvolit i více možností, na některé otázky odpovídaly ženy slovně. Otázky v dotazníku jsou rozděleny do několika oblastí lidských potřeb (oblast fyziologicko-biologická, oblast psychicko-duchovní, oblast sociálně-kulturní). Dotazník obsahuje celkem 30 otázek. Sběr dat probíhal převážně na internetu. Výsledky: Nejvýznamnějším faktorem ovlivňujícím ženu - vysokoškolačku při výběru kontracepce je její spolehlivost, dále okamžitá dostupnost antikoncepčního prostředku, nerušený sexuální prožitek (2. a 3. místo) a snaha udržet si svou hmotnost (4. místo). Závěr: Výběr kontracepce se odráží od individuálních priorit ženy, jakými je pohodlí, spolehlivost, nerušený sexuální prožitek a mnohé další. Nejčastějšími metodami u žen - vysokoškolaček je minipilulka (58 %) a mužský kondom (21 %).

Abstract:

Objektive: The main objective of this research was to extend the knowledge of the choice of contraceptive method and the factors, which may influence the choice the most. The type of study: The quantitative study type. Methodics: In a group consisted of randomly selected 250 women (graduates of the university) were evaluated the criteria for choice of the contraceptive methods by the form of a questionnaire. The condition for fulfilling the questionnaire was the age from 19 to 25. The respondents were asked about their attitudes and opinions in the form of Likert's scale and on other issues relating to the choice of contraceptive methods. There was a possibility to select multiple options for some questions. Some questions have been answered verbally. The questions in the questionnaire are divided into several areas of human needs (physiological and biological area, psycho-spiritual area and socio-cultural area). The whole questionnaire contains 30 questions. The data have been collected mainly on the Internet. Results: The most important factor in the eyes of women (graduates of the university) in choosing a contraceptive is its reliability, as well as the immediate availability of contraceptive, undisturbed sexual experience (2nd and 3rd place) and trying to maintain your weight (4th place). Conclusions: Choosing contraception is reflected by the individual priorities of women, such as convenience, reliability, undisturbed sexual experience and many more. The most common methods for women university graduates is minipill (58%) and the male condom (21%).
