Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat anglický překlad Nočního Klubu od Heleny Mares. Autorem původně českého dvoudílného románu je Jiří Kulhánek. Analýza je zaměřena především na interpretaci humoru, překlad odkazů na českou a evropskou kulturu a překladu technických termínů. The goal of the present thesis is to analyze Helena Mares’s translation of The Night Club duology written by Czech contemporary author Jiří Kulhánek. The focus is on the rendition of humor, on the translation of items containing culture-bound allusions and on the translation of technical terms.
