Down syndrome, or what is waiting the mothers

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá nejznámější a nejčastější chromozomální poruchou, kterou je Downův syndrom. Cílem bylo popsat, na co se musí budoucí matka takového dítěte připravit, diagnostiku tohoto syndromu a potvrdit či vyločit možnou souvilost věku matky na incidenci Downova syndromu. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část popisuje problematiku Downova syndromu, tudíž na co se matka musí připravit. Zmiňuje se o historii, diagnostice, možných zdravotních projevech a o vývoji takto postiženého dítěte. Praktická část analyzuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření, ve kterém byly získávány zkušenosti matek s tímto postižením v době těhotenství i po porodu.

Abstract:

This work describes the best known and most common chromosomal disorder, which is Down syndrome. The target is to describe what must be the future mother of this child prepared for, diagnosis of this syndrome and to confirm or to preclude the possibility of the connection to the mother’s age on the incidence of Down syndrome. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes Down syndrome, therefore, what the mother need to be prepared for. It mentions about the history, diagnosis, signs of possible health and progress of such a disabled child. The practical part analyzes the results of a questionnaire, in which mothers with experiences with this disability during pregnancy and after childbirth were gained.
