The Land of Decoration in the Space between Drama and Poetry

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vznik (a posléze vývoj) inscenace Skvostná země, která vychází ze stejnojmenné knižní předlohy spisovatelky Grace McCleen. Inscenaci tvořil soubor Slepé střevo z literárně-dramatického oddělení ZUŠ Louny, který se skládal ze studentů ve věku šestnáct až devatenáct let.Práce popisuje proces kolektivního hledání a zkoušení, které mj. využívá principů divadla poezie a kde by se za „hlavní divadelní složku“ mohla považovat cíleně zvolená obrazivost a symbolika. V rámci využití různých přístupů a postupů, často se slučujících právě v divadle poezie, se tak inscenace tvarem i žánrem dostává na jakési divadelní pomezí. Výstupem této práce je mj. popis, dílčí analýza a reflexe zvoleného pedagogicko-tvůrčího procesu a osvětlení přístupu k látce, kterou jsme se zabývali po dobu dvou let.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the origin (and then the development) of staging The Land of Decoration based on the book of the same name by writer Grace Mac Gleen. The performance was created by the theatrical group Slepé střevo from Louny Art School, the young actors being from 16 to 19 years old. The thesis describes the process of joint searching and experimenting, which besides other means uses elements of dramatic poetry and where the ´main theatrical element´ could be represented by purposefully used imagery and symbolism. By using different approaches and methods, which often merge in dramatic poetry, this staging in its form and genre finds itself on a specific drama border. The outcome of this thesis is a description, partial analysis and reflection of the chosen pedagogical and artistic methods and an explanation of our approach to the theme that we were dealing with for two years.
