Do Czech women want to give birth naturally?

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou přirozených porodů. Zaměřuje se na skutečnost, zda ženy chtějí rodit pomocí svých vlastních sil a instinktů v době moderního porodnictví. Teoretická část seznamuje čtenáře s definicí přirozeného porodu a okolnostmi, které mají vliv na přirozený porodní proces. Pozornost je věnována i historii vedení porodu a současnému přístupu k porodu. Dále se zabývá psychologií ženy v průběhu porodu a bolestí, která je nezbytnou součástí porodu. Popisuje varianty úlevových možností od bolesti, které rodičce napomáhají k lepšímu zvládání celého průběhu porodu. V závěru je zmíněn bonding, jeho podstata a význam. Praktická část zahrnuje rozhovory s ženami před porodem, které popisují své představy o průběhu porodu. Dále obsahuje jejich vyprávění po porodu, kde líčí své skutečné porodní zážitky. Vystupují zde i porodní asistentky a gynekologové-porodníci, kteří vyjadřují své názory a postoje k dané problematice. Cílem je zjistit, zda očekávání žen o průběhu porodu byla v souladu s realitou a zda personál vyšel vstříc jejich přáním.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with natural births. It focuses on the fact that women want to give birth using their own forces and instincts at the time of modern obstetrics. The theoretical part familiarizes the reader with the definition of natural birth and circumstances that have an impact on the natural birth process. Attention is paid to the history of the birth and the current management approach to childbirth. Further it deals with the psychology of women during childbirth and pain, which is an essential part of giving birth. Describes variants of the relief options from the pain that helping mother to have a facility for entire birthing process. In conclusion, the bonding is mentioned, its nature and importance. The practical part includes interviews with women before birth, in which they are describing their ideas about the course of delivery It also contains their storytelling after birth, where recounts their real birth experiences. There are also midwives and obstetricians-gynecologists, who expressed their views and attitudes to the issues. The aim is to find out whether the expectations of women during childbirth is in line with reality, and whether the staff came out to meet their wishes.
