Tématem této práce je změna pojetí knihovníka a jeho práce po Únoru 1948 v Československu. Knihovník měl, spolu s dalšími kulturně – politickými pracovníky, pomáhat budovat novou socialistickou společnost. Stejně jako v dalších oblastech (průmysl, ekonomika, zbytek kulturního sektoru) začaly být přejímány sovětské metody, přístupy a zkušenosti. The topic of this thesis is the change of the conception of librarians and their work after February 1948 in Czechoslovakia. A librarian was supposed to, along with other cultural-political workers, help construct a new socialist society.
