Abstract:

Prožívání depresivity v raných fázích otcovství Anotace: Diplomové práce se zabývá tématem otcovství a sledováním některých charakteristik otcovství spojených s těhotenstvím partnerky, porodem a obdobím po porodu, přičemž hlavním cílem bylo sledování míry depresivity otců v těchto obdobích. V práci jsou analyzovány odpovědi 2368 otců a matek, kteří byli respondenty longitudinální studie ELSPAC v letech 1991 a 1992. Otcové a matky dětí odpovídali na dotazníky v 18 – 20. týdnu těhotenství matky, v 6. týdnu po porodu a v 6. měsíci po porodu, analýzu těchto odpovědí v práci předkládáme. Zjistili jsme, že vývoj depresivity je u otců jiný než u matek. Na škále depresivity otcové skórují obecně níže než matky, jejich míra depresivity se ale zdá být nejvyšší v období těhotenství, po porodu pak míra depresivity klesá. Míra depresivity partnerů spolu nejvíce korelovala v 6.měsíci po porodu, v těhotenství pak signifikantně méně. Největší souvislost mezi míru depresivity u otce ve všech obdobích se ukázala být s mírou depresivity matky a kvalitou vztahu rodičů.

Abstract:

Experiencing Depression in the Early Phases of Fatherhood Annotation: The thesis deals with the theme of fatherhood and monitoring some characteristics of fatherhood connected with the mother pregnancy, the childbirth and the period after delivery. The main goal of the thesis was to study the measure of fathers’ depresivity in these periods. There are analyzed answers of 2.368 fathers and mothers in this work, which were respondents of the longitudinal study ELSPAC in the years 1991 and 1992. The fathers and the mothers of children were surveyed in 18th – 20th week of pregnancy, in 6th week after the delivery and in 6th month after the delivery, this thesis shows the results of these surveys. We found out that the process of depression is different for fathers and mothers. Fathers score lower on the scale of depresivity than mothers in general, their measure of depresivity seems to be highest in the time of mother pregnancy and is dropping after the delivery. The measure of the depresivity of partners correlates highest in 6th months after the delivery and significantly less in pregnancy. The highest connection with fathers’ depression was found in the quality of partners’ relationship and the measure of mothers’ depresivity in all the periods.
