Development of memory and attention of pupils with specific learning disabilities at a younger school age

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou stimulace kognitivních funkcí, zejména pak paměti a pozornosti, u žáků se specifickou poruchou učení. Teoretická část je zpracována do jednotlivých kapitol, ve kterých jsou definovány základní pojmy. Především se jedná o pojmy jako jsou paměť, pozornost a možnosti jejich stimulace prostřednictvím intervence. Dále se práce věnuje významu žáka se specifickou poruchou učení. Tito žáci jsou legislativně ukotveny pod pojmem žák se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Součást teoretické části tvoří proces učení v mladším školním věku a psychologický vývoj žáka. Výsledky vlastní intervence jsou představeny v praktické části. V rámci výzkumu jsou výsledné hodnoty komparovány mezi experimentální a kontrolní skupinou. Stanoveným cílem bylo zjištění efektivity stimulace paměti a pozornosti. Součástí práce jsou konkrétní závěry a doporučení pro praxi. Dosažené výsledky a stanovená doporučení jsou využitelná jak v praxi speciální pedagogiky, tak v běžném edukativním procesu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of stimulation of cognitive functions, especially memory and attention, of pupils with specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part is elaborated into individual chapters, in which the basic concepts are defined. Above all, these are concepts such as memory, attention, and the possibility of stimulating them through intervention. Furthermore, the work deals with the importance of a pupil with a specific learning disability. These pupils are legislatively enshrined in the term pupil with special educational needs. Section of the theoretical part is the learning process at a young school age, and the psychological development of a pupil at school age. The results of the intervention itself are presented in the practical part. As part of the research, the resulting values are compared between the experimental and control groups. The established goal was to determine the effectiveness of memory and attention stimulation. The practical part presents the results of the intervention, where these results were compared between the experimental and control groups. Part of the work are specific conclusions and recommendations for practice. The achieved results and the set recommendations can be used both in the practice of special pedagogy and in the common educational process.
