Attitude of the gay community to the civil partnership

Abstract:

Cílem práce "Názory gayů na registrované partnerství" je získat informace přímo od homosexuálně orientované minority české společnosti. V roce 2006 byl schválen zákon o registrovaném partnerství, je to tedy více než osm let, co platí. Proto téměř jedna generace gayů již dospěla v době platnosti tohoto zákona. Osm let života této minority v jiném společenském prostředí se může jevit jako krátká doba na nějakou bilanci, ale není to tak zcela pravda. Teoretická část práce se zabývá jednak historií homosexuality, jednak schvalovacím procesem zákona o registrovaném partnerství a v neposlední řadě i dobou jeho platnosti. Praktická část diplomové práce interpretuje získané informace přímo od gayů o jejich životě "s tímto zákonem". Informace o znalostech homosexuálů v oblasti registrovaného partnerství, získané v praktické části práce, mohou být užitečné zejména pro uplatnění v oboru sociální pedagogiky. Výsledky průzkumu mohou více napovědět i o tom, jak důležitým tématem komunity je otázka možnosti uzavření manželství dvou stejnopohlavních osob a adopcí dětí těmito páry.

Abstract:

The aim of my work " Opinion of the gay community of the registered partnership" is to get information from the homosexually oriented minority of the Czech society. In 2006 the act about registered partnership came into force. Now it has been valid for more than eight years. Almost one generation of the gay community grew up after this act became valid. It can be said that this period of eight years is really short, but I disagree. The theoretic part of my thesis is focused on the history of homosexuality, the process of validation of the act about registered partnership and also on the time of its validity. The practical part interprets the information gathered from the gay community, related to its life with this act. The information can be used in the area of social pedagogy. The results of my research can give information about the most important topics of the homosexual community which is the possibility of marriages and the possibility of adop-tion.
