Corporate culture - its role in the implementation of company strategy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na firemní kulturu a její roli v implementaci strategie zvolené společnosti. Nejprve je představena vybraná společnost a provedena formulace strategického plánu společnosti včetně strategických cílů pro plánované období. Následuje analýza prostředí a její zhodnocení pomocí matic IFE a EFE. Součástí této části práce je výběr optimální strategie pro naplnění cílů společnosti. Další částí je implementace strategie pomocí metodiky Balanced Scorecard, která spočívá v rozpracování cílů do jednotlivých perspektiv. Nejdůležitější kapitolou je firemní kultura, především definování žádoucí firemní kultury, která podporuje strategický plán. Následně je provedena analýza stávající firemní kultury pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Výstupem předložené práce je porovnání žádoucí a stávající firemní kultury a vymezení návrhů a opatření pro dosažení žádoucí firemní kultury.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis focused on the corporate culture and its role in the implementation of company strategy. The first chapter presents the company as well as its strategic plan, including the company's strategic objectives for the planned period. Based on this, environmental analysis and its subsequent evaluation by the IFE and EFE matrix, follows. Then the optimal company strategy is selected in order to achieve the company´s objectives. Another part deals with the strategic implementation. In order to implement this strategy the Balanced Scorecard methodology is used. So that all company goals could be developed into particular perspectives. The most important part of this work is to define the preferred corporate culture, which would be able to support the company strategic plan. In the next chapter the current corporate culture is analyzed through the survey. The outcome of this work is the comparison between current and preferred corporate culture as well as suitable proposals and measures designed in order to achieve the preferred corporate culture.
