Effects of sheltered workshops on social inclusion of the disabled

Abstract:

Cílem práce je hodnocení účinků chráněných dílen s důrazem na subjektivně vnímané účinky osob se zdravotním postižením na jejich sociální začlenění, a to v ekonomické, sociální a kulturní oblasti. V první části práce je proveden teoretický rozbor rizika sociálního vyloučení osob se zdravotním postižením a strategií, které jsou na tuto skupinu cíleny v rámci procesu sociálního začleňování. Vzhledem k tomu, že tyto strategie jsou výzvou pro aktivní politiku zaměstnanosti, práce se dále zabývá strategiemi a nástroji podpory pracovního začlenění osob se zdravotním postižením a teoretickým rozborem účinků nástrojů aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti. Metodologická část práce se věnuje výzkumnému projektu. K jeho realizaci byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie a jako technika sběru dat polostrukturovaná interview, vedená se zaměstnanci vybraných chráněných dílen. Závěrečná část práce je věnována zjištěným poznatkům na základě analýzy získaných dat a jejich interpretaci z hlediska pojetí zkoumaných jevů, tj. hodnocení toho, jaké mohou poskytovat chráněné dílny předpoklady k sociálnímu začlenění osob se zdravotním postižením.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the evaluation of effects of sheltered workshops on social inclusion of the disabled in economic, social and cultural dimensions. The first part of the thesis contains study of risks of social exclusion of the disabled and strategies aimed at this target group within the process of social inclusion. These strategies are challenge for active labour market policy, therefore study considers strategies and instruments of labour market policy for support inclusion of the disabled. It also deals with theoretical definitions of effects of active labour market policy programmes. Methodological part considers research design. For the purpose of this thesis qualitative research strategy and semi-standardized interview with the employees of sheltered workshops, as the technique of data collection, were used. Final part of the thesis deals with findings gained by analysis and interpretation of obtained data in terms of surveyed phenomena, that means evaluation of potencial of sheltered workshop for social inclusion of the disabled.
