Automatic classification of client textual feedback

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá texty klientské zpětné vazby pro aplikaci mobilního bankovnictví. Cílem bylo texty třídit s využitím dvou odlišných přístupů strojového učení, a to klasifikace a clusterování. Důležitým bodem práce jsou word embeddings a sentence embeddings získané z jazykového modelu BERT, na nichž jsou oba procesy třídění postavené. Kombinace dvou zmíněných přístupů vede k lepším výsledkům než jednotlivé přístupy samostatně, data díky tomu bylo možné roztřídit do poměrně velkého množství tříd, z nichž některé byly dané (v rámci klasifikace) a jiné vyvozené (v rámci clusterování).

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the text of client feedback for a mobile banking application. The aim was to classify the texts using two different machine learning approaches, namely classification and clustering. The important points of the work are the word embeddings and sentence embeddings obtained from the BERT language model on which both classification processes are based. The combination of the two mentioned approaches leads to better results than the individual approaches alone, as a result the data could be sorted into a relatively large number of classes, some of which were given (in the classification framework) and others inferred (in the clustering framework).
