This thesis focuses on socioeconomic analysis of the district Brno-countryside and it compares the main indicators from analysis in the period of 1993 - 2013 with the characteristics of the district Brno-city. The key aspect is urban-rural partnership, which is mentioned in the strategic documents at all levels.
