Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem a analýzou překladu. První část je praktická, zaměřená na překlad čtyř kapitol Dickensova Olivera Twista. Při výběru kapitol jsem se zamyslela nad aspekty, které jsem chtěla podrobně rozebrat. Jinak jsem se snažila vyhnout archaickým výrazům, jinými slovy, snažila jsem se o překlad moderní. Abstract:
The thesis deals with translation and translation analysis. The first part is practical so it is focused on the translation of four chapters of Dickens’s Oliver Twist. The chapters were chosen according to aspects, I wanted to analyze. Moreover, I tried to avoid using archaic expressions because I wanted the translation to fit the present or to be modern.
