Analysis of the balance of the central bank

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je problematika bilance centrální banky jakožto ústřední banky státu. První část je věnována především popisu úlohy centrálního bankovnictví, funkcím centrálních bank, vzniku centrální banky na našem území a v neposlední řadě i České národní bance samotné. Analytická část je pak zaměřena na detailní rozbor jednotlivých položek bilance České národní banky a na analýzu jejich vývoje v desetiletém horizontu. Ve svém závěru se práce zabývá konkrétními změnami bilančních položek v souvislosti s vývojem ekonomiky v České republice a prováděním jednotlivých funkcí primárně určených právě centrální bance.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is the balance sheet of the central bank as the overarching bank of the country. The first part is devoted to the description of the role of the central banking, functions of the central bank and establishment of the central bank in our country, the Czech National Bank. The analytical part is focused on the detailed analysis of the individual items of the Czech National Bank balance sheet and the analysis of its development in the last decade. In the last part cf the thesis there is a description of specific changes in balance sheet´s items relating to the development of the Czech economy and the implementation of the central bank´s policy.
