Social pathological phenomena of children in institutional care

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce s názvem "Sociálně patologické jevy u dětí v ústavní výchově" je na základě realizovaného výzkumného šetření zjistit, jaké sociálně patologické jevy se vyskytují u dětí ve věku 10 až 15 let žijících ve vybraných dětských domovech Ústeckého kraje. Bakalářská práce se skládá z teoretické a empirické části. V teoretické části se zaobíráme problematikou sociálně patologických jevů, jejich příčinami a prevencí. Dále vymezujeme pojmy norma a normalita, které s tématem úzce souvisí. Z hlediska zaměření bakalářské práce se také zaměřujeme na charakteristiku školských zařízení pro výkon ústavní a ochranné výchovy a věnujeme se období dospívání. Empirickou část tvoří výsledky dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného na určité sociálně patologické jevy u vybrané skupiny respondentů. Výzkumné šetření bakalářské práce probíhalo na výzkumném vzorku 104 respondentů. Získané informace jsme shrnuli, interpretovali a porovnali s již publikovanými výsledky v literatuře. Na základě výsledků empirického šetření jsme formulovali závěry a doporučení, která jsou využitelná v praxi sociální pedagogiky.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis named "Social pathological phenomena among children in institutional care" is to find out - based on the research - which pathological phenomena occur among children aged from 10 to 15 living at selected children's homes in the Ústí nad Labem Region. The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part we deal with the social pathological phenomena issues, their causes and prevention. Further we define the terms of norm and normality which are closely related to the subject. With respect to the objective of the bachelor thesis we also focus on the characteristics of school facilities for execution of institutional and protective education and we pay attention to adolescence. The empirical part is comprised of the results of the survey focused on certain social pathological phenomena in a selected group of respondents. The research study of the bachelor thesis was carried out on a research sample of 104 respondents. We summarize, interpret and compare the gained information with results in already published literature. Based on the results of the empirical survey we formulated conclusions and recommendations which are usable in the practice of social pedagogy.
