The utilization of occupational therapy with client after breast surgery

Abstract:

Moje bakalářská práce má název Využití ergoterapie u klientky po operaci prsu a zaměřuje se na možnost ergoterapeutické intervence u této diagnózy. V teoretické části jsem popsala, co je rakovina prsu, její epidemiologii, jak se projevuje a následně diagnostikuje, jak se léčí a jak se jí dá alespoň částečně předcházet či jak ji odhalit v zárodku. V další části práce jsem se zabývala možnou rehabilitační péčí. Popsala jsem rehabilitaci fyzikální, psychologickou i sociální a největší část jsem samozřejmě věnovala ergoterapii v onkologii, kde jsem popsala nejčastější problémy klientek po operaci prsu a to, jak by jim ergoterapeut mohl s jejich potížemi pomoci. Praktická část je zaměřená na vstupní vyšetření, navržení krátkodobého ergoterapeutického plánu, realizaci tohoto plánu, výstupní vyšetření a následně stanovení dlouhodobého ergoterapeutického plánu.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis called The use of occupational therapy for clients after breast surgery focuses on the possibility of occupational therapy interventions for this diagnosis. In the theoretical part I have described what is the breast cancer, its epidemiology, the way of manifestation and then diagnosed, way of treatment and possibility of partial prevention and early detection. In the next part of my work I have focused on possible rehabilitative care. I have described physical, psychological and social rehabilitation. The main part is dedicated of occupational therapy in oncology, where I have described the most common problems of the clients after breast surgery and how could the occupational therapist help them with their problems. The practical part focuses on the entrance examination, suggesting short-term occupational therapy plan, implementation of the plan, final examination and then determine the long-term occupational therapy plan.
