Incidence of injuries in the 1st national men's handball league in Czech republic

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá incidencí zranění v národní házené 1. ligy mužů v České republice. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis historie a základních principů národní házené. Dále přibližuje sportovní zranění a zranění typické pro házenou. Praktická část se zabývá výsledky incidence zranění na základě přiloženého dotazníku. Na základě výsledků bylo zjištěno, že z celkových 27 zranění se stalo 77,8 % v zápase a 22, 8 % v tréninku. Celková incidence zranění byla 2,03 na 1000 aktivní zátěže. Nejčastější poraněnou částí horní končetiny byly prsty na rukou. Nejčastější poraněnou částí dolní končetiny bylo chodidlo. Získané výsledky byly následně porovnány s výsledky studie autorů Seil, Rupp, Tempelhof & Kohn, 1998, která je zaměřená na incidenci zranění v klasické házené v Německu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the incidence of injuries in national handball league 1 in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is focused on the description of the history and basic principles of national handball. It also presents sports injuries and injuries typical for handball. The practical part deals with the results of injury incidence based on the attached questionnaire. Based on the results, it was found that out of the total 27 injuries, 77.8% happened in a match and 22.8% happened in training. The overall injury incidence rate was 2.03 per 1000 hours of active load. The fingers were the most frequently injured part of the upper extremity. The most common part of the lower limb injured was the foot. The results obtained were then compared with the results of a study by Seil, Rupp, Tempelhof & Kohn, 1998, which focused on the incidence of injuries in classical handball in Germany.
