Recreational potential of forests for tourism development

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení služeb cestovního ruchu v Novém Městě pod Smrkem v České republice, s důrazem na významnou roli lesa v turistické atraktivitě města. Práce se věnuje analýze současného stavu cestovního ruchu včetně ubytovacích, stravovacích a zábavních služeb, hodnotí jejich kvalitu. Cílem je nejen poskytnout ucelený pohled na cestovní ruch v této oblasti, ale také identifikovat výzvy a příležitosti pro rozvoj turistiky. Studie se opírá o rozsáhlou teoretickou část vycházející z odborné literatury a vědeckých výzkumů, která se soustřeďuje na úlohu lesů v cestovním ruchu. Analytická část obsahuje detailní zhodnocení nabízených turistických služeb a zkoumá vliv lesa na atraktivitu Nového Města pod Smrkem. Pro shromažďování dat byly využity jak primární (průzkumy, pozorování), tak sekundární zdroje (statistiky cestovního ruchu, údaje od místních úřadů). Závěrečná část práce poskytuje doporučení pro zlepšení kvality služeb cestovního ruchu a zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti Nového Města pod Smrkem jako turistické destinace.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the evaluation of tourism services in Nové Město pod Smrkem in the Czech Republic, emphasizing the significant role of the forest in the city's tourist appeal. The work is dedicated to analyzing the current state of tourism, including accommodation, catering, and entertainment services, assessing their quality. The aim is not only to provide a comprehensive view of tourism in this area but also to identify challenges and opportunities for the development of tourism. The study relies on an extensive theoretical part based on professional literature and scientific research, which focuses on the role of forests in tourism. The analytical part includes a detailed evaluation of the offered tourist services and examines the influence of the forest on the attractiveness of Nové Město pod Smrkem. Both primary (surveys, observations) and secondary sources (tourism statistics, data from local authorities) were used for data collection. The final part of the thesis provides recommendations for improving the quality of tourism services and increasing the competitiveness of Nové Město pod Smrkem as a tourist destination.
