Abstract:
Bakalářská práce řeší problematiku překladu, a to konkrétně překladu části románu z angličtiny do češtiny. Obsahem teoretické části je obecné pojednání o překladatelských metodách, dále se v ní autorka zaměřuje na otázku rozdílů ve slovní zásobě daných dvou jazyků. Praktickou část představuje autorská ukázka vlastního překladu.
Abstract:
The thesis is concerned with the question of translation, and, more concretely, it deals with a translation of a part of a novel from English to Czech. In the theoretical part, it first discusses the basic translator’s steps, and then concentrates on lexical (in)equivalence in the two language systems. In the practical part, the author presents an example of her own translation.
