Analysis of textbooks with regard to school chemical experiment

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce „Rozbor učebnic s ohledem na školní chemický pokus“ se zaměřuje na výzkum učebnic chemie určených pro základní školy (respektive pro žáky věkově odpovídající dnešnímu 2. stupni základní školy) a pro odpovídající ročníky gymnázií. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit množství a prezentaci chemických pokusů v učebnicích, se kterými mají učitelé možnost pracovat v současné době, stejně tak jako učebnic v dnešní době již nepoužívaných či hůře dostupných, a vytvořit jejich vzájemné porovnání v důležitých charakteristikách. Konkrétně šlo o učebnice vydané na území České republiky od roku 1945 po současnost. Bylo zjištěno, že učebnice vydané od roku 2005 po současnost obvykle ve zkoumaných atributech dosahují nejvyšších hodnot. Zároveň se obecně nevyskytuje vzrůstající ani klesající tendence u zkoumaných charakteristik učebnic v průběhu sledovaného období v závislosti na čase s výjimkou procentuálního zastoupení chemických pokusů žákovských a procentuálního zastoupení pokusů doprovázených ilustrací.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Analysis of textbooks with regard to school chemical experiment“ is focused on textbooks for the 8th and 9th year of lower secondary school (for the pupils in the age coresponding to these years of primary school) and for the lower grammar school. The aim of this diploma thesis was to analyze how the examined textbooks work with the issue of the school chemical experiment. The textbooks were analyzed from several points of view and compared. The research sample were all accessible textbooks that dealing with chemistry were published on the territory of the Czech Republic in years 1945 to the present. It was found that the textbooks published since 2005 have usually the highes results in the studied attributes. Moreover non increasing or decreasing tendency in studied attributes of the textbooks was found as a function of time, with the exceptions of the percentage of pupils' chemical experiments and experiments accompanied by illustrations.
