Economic comparison of the production of grass seeds and cereals

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na ekonomické porovnání produkce travních osiv a obilovin. V teoretické části je analyzováno odvětví travního semenářství jako takové. Je popsána historie a vývoj travního semenářství v České republice a dále současná situace v tomto odvětví jak u nás, tak i v zahraničí. Další část práce věnuje pozornost významu travních porostů. Popsány jsou jednak produkční funkce, které přinášejí hlavní tržní efekt a jednak ekosystémové služby. Zbylé kapitoly teoretické části se věnují významným rodům trav, stručné charakteristice vybraných druhů a obecným zásadám produkce travních semen. V praktické části je charakterizován zdrojový podnik, který poskytl svá data o kostřavě červené a pšenici ozimé. Na základě dostupných dat je provedena ekonomická analýza a výpočet příspěvku na úhradu. Závěrem práce jsou zjištěné výsledky hrubé rentability sledovaných plodin porovnány. Vyšší ziskovost v obou letech vykazuje pšenice ozimá.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the economic comparison of the production of grass seeds and cereals. The theoretical part analyses the grass seed sector as a complex. It describes the history and development of grass seed production in the Czech Republic and the current situation in this sector both in our country and abroad. The next part of the thesis pays attention to the importance of grasslands. The production functions that bring the main market effect and ecosystem services are described. The remaining chapters of the theoretical part are devoted to important grass genera, a brief description of selected species and general principles of grass seed production. The practical part characterizes the source company, which provided its data on red fescue and winter wheat. Based on the available data, an economic analysis and calculation of the contribution to the payment is performed. Finally, the results of the gross profitability of the monitored crops are compared. Winter wheat shows higher profitability in both years.
