Proposal for suitable location of logistics center for project CKD Pakistan

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá projektem CKD Pákistán, který je současně vyhodnocován společností ŠKODA AUTO a.s. Vozy značky ŠKODA budou do zahraničního závodu v Pákistánu expedovány ve stupni rozloženosti CKD. V souvislosti s problematikou expedice vozů do zahraničí, bude nutné využít externí logistické centrum. Návrh vhodného umístění tohoto logistického centra je primárním cílem této práce. K nalezení jeho vhodného umístění je využita metoda těžiště. Ve vztahu k uplatnění metody těžiště a vyhodnocení ŠKODA AUTO a.s. je definováno několik variant. Pro porovnání jednotlivých variant je aplikována metoda váženého součtu. Prostřednictvím metody váženého součtu je umožněno zohlednit vzdálenostní kritéria, která jsou pro projekt relevantní. Na základě výsledků využitých metod je autorem doporučeno umístit logistické centrum v oblasti Nymburku či Mladé Boleslavi.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a project CKD Pakistan, which is currently evaluated by the company SKODA AUTO a.s. SKODA cars will be shipped at the CKD level to the overseas plant in Pakistan. In connection with issue of cars dispatch abroad, it will be necessary to use an external logistics center. The proposal of the logistics center location is the primary purpose of the thesis. The center of gravity method is used to find its suitable location. In relation to the application of the center of gravity method and the evaluation of ŠKODA AUTO a.s. several variants are defined. The weighted sum method is applied to compare individual variants. Through the weighted sum method, it is possible to take into account the distance criteria that are relevant for the project. Based on the results of the methods, the author recommends locating the logistics center in the area Nymburk or Mladá Boleslav.
