Ethical problems of in vitro fertilization

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá etickými problémy in vitro fertilizace. V teoretické části krátce popisuje základní pojmy jako etika, bioetika a život. Následně navazuje definice neplodnosti, její příčiny a možnosti léčby, tedy metody asistované reprodukce. V závěru tohoto oddílu popi-suje jednotlivé etické problémy in vitro fertilizace. Praktická část pak přináší vyhodnocení a výsledky výzkumného šetření, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, v jaké míře vnímají lidé v produktivním věku etické problémy umělého oplodnění a zda by v případě problému s otěhotněním přirozenou cestou podstoupili umělé oplodnění.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the ethical problems of in vitro fertilization. The theoretical part briefly describes basic terms as ethics, bioethics and life. Further follows the definition of infertility, its causes and treatment options, thus the methods of assisted reproduction. The last part of the chapter describes various ethical issue of in vitro fertilization. The practical part deals with the results of research. The aim of this research was to find out how per-ceive people of working age ethical problems of artificial insemination and whether, in the case of problems with conceiving naturally, they would undergo the artificial insemination.
