International aid a former British colony: the example of Kenya

Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to find out whether is the international aid to Kenya effective or not. The first part mentions a brief history of Kenya. The author also mentions the geography of Kenya in the second part and introduces Charity Organizations which provide aid to Kenya in the third part of the thesis. The fourth part of the thesis focuses on Tribes in Kenya and their importance to the residents. Whereas, the fifth part of the thesis focuses on the causes of poverty in Kenya. The author presents the results of her terrain investigation in Kenya in which she was conducting a questionnaire among the residents and charity workers in Kenya. This enables the reader to see Kenya from foreigner point of view.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou zda-li je mezinárodní pomoc pro Keňu, účinná či nikoli. První část práce se zaměřuje na sturčnou historii Keni. Autorka také zmiňuje geografii země ve své druhé části práce a ve třetí seznamuje čtenáře s charitativníma organizacema, které jsou aktivní v Keni. Čtvrá část práce pojednává o důležitosti kmenů v Keni a jejich rozělení do skupin. Pátá část je zlomová, zde autorka provedla průzkum v podobě dotazníku mezi obyvateli Keni a charitativních pravovníku.Tato část umožňuje pohled na zemi a jeji obyvatele z perspektivy cizince. Důležitou součásti je také analýza příčin, které způsobují chudobu dané země.
