Activity of the selected non-governmental organizations in (post)-conflict Chechnya

Abstract:

V 90. letech 20. století proběhly mezi Čečenskem a Ruskem dva konflikty, které měly své kořeny již v minulosti. Následky těchto konfliktů ovlivňují život v Čečensku dodnes.Již od začátku prvního konfliktu působí v oblasti humanitární a lidsko-právní nevládní organizace. Jejich cílem je zlepšit infratsukturu společnosti a přimět Rusko k dodržování lidských práv. Práce se snaží zhodnotit jejich vliv na situaci v Čečensku a jejich přínos k demokratizaci společnosti.

Abstract:

In the nineties of the 20th century two conflicts took place between Chechnya and Russia. Their roots was in the past. The consequences of these conflicts affect life in Chechnya up to this day.Since the beginning of the conflict involved in the region humanitarian and human rights NGOs. Their goal is to improve infrastructure of the society and cause Russia to respect human rights. The paper tries to assess their impact on the situation in Chechnya and their contribution to the democratization of society.
