Safety Aspects of the Operation of Large Bus Stations in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce popisuje historii a současnost autobusové dopravy, autobusové zastávky a nádraží. Zmíněné jsou bezpečnostní incidenty, které se odehrály na, nebo v těsné blízkosti autobusových nádražích a zastávek. Popisuje nejčastěji využívané bezpečnostní prvky na autobusových nádraží, fyzické i technické ochrany. V práci jsou uvedeny stěžejní statické ukazatele autobusové dopravy. Představuje aktuální problémy na třech vybraných autobusových nádražích v České republice. Popsány jsou bezpečností prvky využívané na vybraných autobusových nádražích. Práce komparuje a konstruktivně-kriticky zhodnocuje úroveň zajišťování bezpečnosti na zvolených nádražích. K těmto zjištěním napomohly výsledky SWOT analýzy, strukturovaných rozhovorů a osobních návštěv nádražních areálu autora. Na tato zjištění navazují související doporučení.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis describes the history and present of bus transport, bus stops and bus stations. Security incidents that took place at or in close proximity to bus stations and bus stops are mentioned. It describes physical and technical security features frequently used at bus stations. The main static indicators of bus transport are presented in the work. It presents current problems at three selected bus stations in the Czech Republic. Safety features used at bus stations are described as well. The thesis compares and constructively – critically evaluates the level of security at seleceted bus stations. The result of the SWOT analysis, structured interviews and personal visits to the station areas by the author helped to reach these findings which are followed by related recommendations.
