Wage system in the V4 countries

Abstract:

Šestáková, P. Mzdový systém v zemích V4. Bakalářská práce. Brno: Mendelova uni-verzita v Brně, 2023. Bakalářská práce se zabývá ukazateli, které se mzdovým systémem souvisejí. Konkrétně se jedná o minimální a mediánovou mzdu a také průměrný starobní důchod. Tyto ukazatele jsou porovnány na základě poměrů k průměrné mzdě v zemích V4, které jsou následně srovnány s Německem. V první části práce jsou popsány jednotlivé systémy minimální mzdy a starobního důchodu v zemích V4. V druhé části jsou představena data v období od roku 2006 do roku 2019. Pomocí korelační matice byly zjištěny závislosti mezi zeměmi, které byly následně podrobně popsány. Dále jsou země porovnány i s vyspělou zemí EU. Tuto zemi představuje Německo. V poslední části je minimální mzda srovnána s cenovou hladinou zboží a služeb a následně i s cenovou hladinou elektřiny pro domácnosti.

This bachelor thesis deals with indicators related to the wage system, specifically with the minimum and median wage and the average old-age pension. These indi-cators are compared based on their ratios to the average wage in the V4 countries, which are then compared with Germany. The first part of the paper describes the different minimum wage and old-age pen-sion systems in the V4 countries. In the second part, data from 2006 to 2019 are presented. By using a correlation matrix, dependencies between countries were identified and subsequently described in detail. Additionally, the countries are compared with the developed EU, represented by Germany. In the last section, the minimum wage is compared to the price level of goods and services and then to the price level of electricity for households.
