Abstract:

V práci autor představuje různé role etnických bicích nástroje v kulturách jejich původu a jakým způsobem se změnily v kontextu jazzové hudby a později symfonické hudby. Dále vysvětluje sociálně-kulturní kontext vývoje soupravy bicích nástrojů, jakožto unikátního nástroje zkomponovaného multikulturní společností Spojených států amerických. Zmiňuje také vliv jazzu na symfonickou hudbu a představuje příklady skladatelů, kteří bicí soupravu a etnické bicí nástroje začlenili do svých skladeb. Dále se zabývá proměnou funkcí bicí soupravy v nonartificiální hudbě a jak se tyto změny promítly do hudby artificiální.

Abstract:

The author explores various roles of ethnic percussion instruments in their original cultures and how they have evolved in the context of jazz and later symphonic music. The sociocultural context of the development of the drum set as a unique instrument composed by the multicultural society of the United States is explained. The influence of jazz on symphonic music is also discussed, along with examples of composers who incorporated the drum set and ethnic percussion instruments into their compositions. The transformation of the drum set's functions in non-artificial music and how these changes have impacted artificial music are also examined.
