Anotácia:

Tato práce se zabývá otázkou identity ve vybraných dílech migrantské literatury v Quebecu. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části – teoretickou a analytickou část. Teoretická část seznamuje čtenáře s hlavními pojmy a základními informacemi. Rozebírá koncept identity, quebeckou identitu, historii imigrace v Quebecu, vývoj imigrantské identity v Quebecu a vývoj migrantské literatury v Quebecu. Analytická část se zaměřuje na analýzu vybraných literárních děl týkajících se problematiky integrace přistěhovalců do quebecké společnosti. Mezi literární díla vybraná pro analýzu patří román od Régine Robin The Wanderer, divadelní hra od Marco Micone Beyond the Ruins, román od Ying Chen Les lettres chinoises a román od Abla Farhoud Hutchison Street. Každá analýza je rozdělena do pěti částí. První část nabízí základní informace o autorovi, druhá část poskytuje krátký úvod k vybranému literárnímu dílu, třetí část zkoumá zobrazení a vztah k prostoru a času, čtvrtá část se zaměřuje na konstrukci identity a problémy spojené s identitou a pátá část nabízí stručné shrnutí hlavních bodů. Cílem této práce je analyzovat zobrazení identity ve vybraných dílech migrantské literatury v Quebecu a také odpovědět na dané výzkumné otázky, které se zaměřují na aspekt integrace přistěhovalců a identity.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the question of identity in selected literary works of écriture migrante in Quebec. As far as the structure is concerned, the thesis is divided into two major parts – the theoretical and the analytical part. The theoretical part introduces the main notions and background to the reader. It discusses the concept of identity, Quebec identity, the history of immigration in Quebec, the immigrant identity development in Quebec, and the development of migrant literature in Quebec. The analytical part focuses on the analysis of selected literary works related to the topic of integration of immigrants in Quebec society. The literary works chosen for the analysis include Régine Robin’s novel The Wanderer, Marco Micone’s play Beyond the Ruins, Ying Chen’s novel Les lettres chinoises, and Abla Farhoud’s novel Hutchison Street. Each analysis is divided into five sections. The first section offers basic information about the author, the second section provides a brief introduction to the selected literary work, the third section examines the representation and relationship to space and time, the fourth section focuses on the construction of identity and identity issues, and the fifth section offers a brief summary of the main points. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the portrayal of identity in selected literary works of écriture migrante in Quebec. The thesis also aims to answer the given research questions, which focus on the aspect of integration of immigrants and identity.
