The impact on trading relationship of Russia and Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá shrnutím a srovnáním obchodních vztahů Česka a Ruska, a to do přijetí sankčních opatření a po nich, tedy po roce 2014. První kapitola je věnována historickým obchodním vztahům mezi analyzovanými státy až do roku 2014, a toto období je rozděleno na etapy: období Sovětského svazu, období po perestrojce a období po vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. Druhá část je věnována obchodním vztahům České republiky a Ruské federace v posledních dvou letech, tedy v období velkého ekonomického a politického napětí. Analyzují se sankce, které se zavedly ze strany Evropy ve vztahu k Rusku a odvetné sankce ze strany Ruské federace. Zkoumají se statistiky mezinárodního obchodu a obchodní bilance mezi Ruskou federaci a Českou republikou. V poslední kapitole jsou rozebírány dopady sankcí analyzovaných ve druhé kapitole. Zkoumají se změny v zahraničním obchodě jak Ruské federace, tak i Česka.

Abstract:

In the present bachelors thesis I compare and analyze the trading relationship between two countries, Russia and Czech Republic, in the period before and after the sanctions. In the first chapter, I describe the historical background of the relationship development of the countries before 2014. Moreover, for the sake of its clarity, I divided the period on several parts: the time of the Soviet Union existence, the years of perestroika from 1990 till 2004, and also the period before 2004, before the Czech Republic entered the European Union. In the second chapter, I analyze the trading relationship between the countries for the last two years. Furthermore, I illustrate not only the process of the sanctions declaration from Europe and the United States towards Russia, but also the ones from Russia towards these countries. In the last chapter, I examine the impact of the sanctions on the changes in the trading relationship both in Russia and Czech Republic.
