Andragogy specialist's competences from the perspective of students of andragogy

Abstract:

My thesis has a theoretical and empirical character. The aim of quantitative research was to answer the question: “How do students of andragogy perceive the meaning of key and professional competences for their future employment?” A research sample was made up by 220 students of andragogy from eight Universities in the Slovak and Czech Republics. With the help of eighty-five-item questionnaire I found out respondents opinion on the meaning of 26 key and 49 key professional competences. On the basis of statistical survey and empirical data, nine hypotheses were checked, of which five were divided into two partial hypotheses. Research results have brought following basic findings: Andragogy students as a whole fully realize the priority of key competences for their future professional employment. In the professional competences area is obvious, statistically important, their preference importance for their future employment by respondents, who have already decided to be employed in the field related to their studies. After checking further hypotheses respondents were divided into files according to their gender, study level, study course, type of university, interests in the employment specialized in andragogy positions, employment-non employment in the related area during their studies at university. In two cases I have recorded different opinions on perceptions the importance for their future employment. In the case of key and professional competences in respondents according to their university studies and professional competences in andragogy students, who during their studies are employed or were employed in the field related to their study programme.

Abstract:

Predložená diplomová práca má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Cieľom kvantitatívneho výskumu bolo zodpovedať na výskumnú otázku: „Ako študenti andragogiky vnímajú význam kľúčových a profesijných kompetencií pre svoje budúce profesijné uplatnenie?“ Výskumnú vzorku tvorilo 220 študentov andragogiky z 8-mych univerzít v Českej a Slovenskej republike. S využitím 85-položkového dotazníka som zisťovala názory respondentov na významnosť vybraných 26 kľúčových a 49 profesijných kompetencií. Na základe štatistického spracovania empirických údajov som overovala 9 stanovených hypotéz, z ktorých bolo 5 rozčlenených do dvoch čiastkových hypotéz. Výsledky výskumu priniesli tieto nosné zistenia: Študenti andragogiky ako celok si plne uvedomujú prioritu kľúčových kompetencií pre svoje perspektívne profesijné uplatnenie. V oblasti profesijných kompetencií je zreteľné, štatisticky významné, uprednostnenie ich dôležitosti pre svoje budúce profesijné uplatnenie respondentmi, ktorí sú rozhodnutí po skončení štúdia pracovať v zamestnaní súvisiacom s odborom štúdia. Pri overovaní ďalších hypotéz som respondentov flexibilne začleňovala do súborov podľa pohlavia, stupňa štúdia, formy štúdia, príslušnosti k univerzite, záujmu o uplatnenie sa v špecializovaných andragogických funkciách, vykonávania, či nevykonávania zamestnania súvisiaceho s odborom počas štúdia. Signifikantne rozdielne názory na vnímanie dôležitosti kompetencií pre svoje budúce profesijné uplatnenie som zaznamenala v dvoch prípadoch. V prípade kľúčových aj profesijných kompetencií u respondentov podľa ich príslušnosti k jednotlivým univerzitám a v prípade profesijných kompetencií u študentov andragogiky, ktorí počas štúdia pracujú alebo pracovali v zamestnaní súvisiacom s odborom štúdia.
