A competitive environment in the areas of hospitality in the selected region

Abstract:

Cílem práce je na základě analýzy zvolených hostelů v hlavním městě Praze pomocí vybraných kritérií, jako je např. cena za ubytování, produktová nabídka, cílový segment apod., vyhodnotit, jaké je konkurenční prostředí pražských hostelů a navrhnout příslušná zlepšení. Využito bude rozbor jednotlivých konkurenčních hostelů, metody dotazníkového šetření s manažery (vedoucími) hostelů a rozhovor s manažerskou Post hostelu v Praze. Bude zjištěno, jaké služby jednotlivé hostely nabízejí, jaká je jejich cenová a distribuční politika, jaké nástroje marketingové komunikace se v daném hostelu využívají apod. Důležitou součástí je také zjištění, jakých metod je využíváno při budování konkurenceschopnosti hostelu. S tím souvisí i provedení příslušné analýzy a porovnání jednotlivých konkurenčních hostelů, a to včetně charakteristiky cestovního ruchu v regionu. V práci jsou také využity metody PEST analýzy, Porterova modelu pěti konkurenčních sil a metody benchmarketingu. Bakalářská práce je rozčleněna do tří základních kapitol. První z nich je teoretickou částí, následuje analytická část, na základě zjištěných poznatků je zpracována návrhová část. V bakalářské práci bude využito zejména odborných literárních publikací, které se věnují předmětnému tématu.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyze selected hostels in the capital city of Prague using selected criteria such as price for accommodation, product offer, target segment, etc., to evaluate the competitive environment of Prague hostels and to propose appropriate improvements. An analysis of individual competing hostels, questionnaire survey methods with hostel managers and interviews with the Post Hostel manager in Prague will be used. It will be possible to find out what services the each hostel offers, what is hostels‘ pricing and distribution policy, what marketing communication tools are used in the given hostel, etc. An important part is also to find out which methods are used in building the competitiveness of the hostel. This is also related to the implementation of the relevant analysis and comparison of individual competing hostels, including the characteristics of tourism in the region. The poles also use the PEST analysis method, Porter's Five Competitive Power Model, and Benchmarking methods. The bachelor thesis is divided into three basic chapters. The first one is the theoretical part, followed by the analytical part, based on the findings, the design part is processed. The bachelor thesis will be used mainly by professional literary publications, which deal with the topic in question
