Influence of the Czech Switzerland National Park on the development of Krásná Lípa

Abstract:

Město Krásná Lípa bylo textilní velmocí, které exportovalo svoje výrobky do zahraničí. Textilní průmysl byl stěžejní pro rozvoj města. Tento průmysl byl po roce 1989 ukončen a město bylo postaveno před skutečnost, že přišlo o největší ekonomický zdroj. Vsadilo na svoji polohu v chráněných oblastech a začalo rozvíjet cestovní ruch. V roce 2000 dostalo město dar ve formě vzniku Národního parku České Švýcarko. Město se stalo jeho centrem, a tím dostalo další možnost, jak rozvíjet cestovní ruch na svém území. Cílem této práce je analyzovat vývoj města, Krásná Lípa od vzniku Národního parku České Švýcarsko dodnes, za použití Butlerova konceptu životního cyklu destinace. Koncept pomohl určit fáze pro jednotlivé zkoumané období. Data pro tuto práci byla získávána pomocí dotazníkového šetření, rozhovorů a obsahovou analýzou. Tyto metody byly zaměřeny na 4 zkoumané aspekty – Ekonomika města, návštěvnost a atraktivita, vztahy místních obyvatel k návštěvníkům a kontrola nad městem. Na základě zpracovaných dat bylo konstatováno, že se město v roce 2000 bylo ve fázi objevení. Pro rok 2019 byla konstatována fáze vtažení.

Abstract:

The town of Krásná Lípa used to be a superpower in textile and exported its products abroad. The textile industry was essential for the development of the town. The industry closed after 1989 and the town had to face the fact that it lost its largest source. It was decided to take advantage of the location in protected areas and tourism started to develop. In 2000, the town received a present in the form of creation of Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The town became a center of the Park and therefore was given another opportunity to support tourism in its territory. The aim of the thesis is to analyze development of the town of Krásná Lípa from the creation of Bohemian Switzerland National Park until now using Butler’s tourism life cycle model. The model helped determine the stages for the individual examined periods. Data for the thesis was obtained through a questionnaire survey, interviews and a content analysis. The methods focused on four examined aspects– the town’s economy, attendance and attractiveness, the relationship between residents and tourists and control of the town. The processed data showed that in 2000, the town was at the stage of exploration. In 2019, the town entered the stage of involvement.
