Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce bylo obnovení trestu smrti v České republice. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část s cílem analyzovat postoj veřejnosti k obnově trestu smrti v České republice. Teoretická část práce pojednává o trestu smrti od historie až po současné využívání trestu smrti ve světě. Bakalářská práce se také zabývá legislativním rámcem v možném obnovením trestu smrti. V praktické části práce je proveden kvantitativní průzkum, který má za cíl zjistit názor obyvatel na problematiku trestu smrti, za jaký trestný čin by trest smrti navrhli a jakým způsobem by měl být proveden.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor’s thesis was the restoration of the death penalty in the Czech Republic.The bachelor’s thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part with the aim to analyze the public attitude towards the restoration of the death penalty in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the death penalty from ancient history to contemporary usage of the death penalty all around the world. The legislative framework of the potential death penalty restoration is also included in this bachelor’s thesis. In the practical part of the bachelor’s thesis quantitative research is scrutinized in order to reveal public opinion about the death penalty, on what crime should be the dath penalty imposed and what is the most appropriate method of execution.
