The Quality of Life of Informal Carers of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kvality života neformálních pečujících o děti s poruchou autistického spektra. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem a analýzou stávajícího poznání v oblasti zkoumaného problému. Samostatná kapitola je věnovaná autismu. Další kapitoly se zabývají konceptem kvality života, dopady péče a podporu neformálních pečujících. Výzkumná část navazuje na teoretické poznatky. Ve výzkumu byla užita kvantitativní výzkumná strategie zaměřená na získání informací pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku WHOQOL-BREF, doplněného o otázky vlastní konstrukce. Kapitola obsahuje metodický postup výzkumu, techniky sběru dat, analýzu získaných dat a jejich interpretaci, včetně závěrečného shrnutí.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the quality of life of informal carers of children with autistic spectre disorder. The theoretical framework describes and analyses a recent study of this topic. An independent chapter is dedicated to autism. Other chapters deal with a concept of quality of life, impacts of care and support of informal carers. The research part follows the theoretical framework. In the research a quantitative research method was used to obtain information through a standardized questionnaire WHOQOL BREF supplemented with author´s own questions. This chapter contains methodical research procedure, data collection methods, gained data analysis and its interpretation, including a summary.
