This thesis deals with the issue of liver diseases, including liver tumors, with emphasis on hepatocellular carcinoma. It also describes radiofrequency ablation of liver and microwave ablation of liver, the type of instrumentation used in these procedures, and the role of the radiological assistant during these performances.
