Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kulturního šoku, který člověk zažívá při setkání s novou kulturou. Kulturní šok je nejdříve představen v širším kontextu, kde je poukázáno na fenomény jako kulturní hodnoty, identita, percepce či komunikace, které jej ovlivňují. The diploma thesis discusses the phenomenon of culture shock that one experiences when encountering a new culture. The culture shock is introduced in a broader context to demonstrate how such phenomena as cultural values, identity, perception or communication influence it.
