The socioeconomic analysis of the Zlín region with emphasis on manufacturing industry as a traditional sector

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zahrnuje socioekonomickou analýzu Zlínského kraje, která je zaměřena na zpracovatelský průmysl jako tradiční odvětví. Shrnuje a porovnává analytická data a informace týkající se výkonnosti daného odvětví. Cílem práce je nastínit budoucí vývoj zpracovatelského průmyslu v kraji, identifikovat současné hrozby, které brání jeho rozvoji a navrhnout podpůrné nástroje a možnosti dalšího rozvoje a růstu zmíněného odvětví v budoucnu. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že zpracovatelský průmysl je hospodářským tahounem Zlínského kraje a má potenciál být jím i v budoucnu. Na druhou stranu jsou zjištěny i hrozby brzdící budoucí rozvoj. Jsou navrhnuty možnosti rozvoje odvětví prostřednictvím spolupráce podnikatelských subjektů a vzdělávacích institucí či zlepšení dopravní infrastruktury v kraji. Z práce vyplývá, že realizace těchto možností rozvoje by ještě více posílila význam zpracovatelského průmyslu ve Zlínském kraji.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis includes socioeconomic analysis of the Zlín region, which is focused on manufacturing industry as a traditional sector. The thesis sums up and compares analytic data and information regarding productivity of the given sector. The aim of the thesis is to outline the future development of the manufacturing industry in region, identify the current threats, which are impeding its development and suggest supporting instruments and possibilities of the next sector development and growth in the future. The thesis finds out, that the manufacturing industry is an economic leader of the Zlín region and it has a potential to stay the leader in the future. On the other hand, there are threats, which are slowing down the future development. In the thesis there are suggested possibilities of sector development via cooperation between entrepreneurs and educational institutions or via improving regional transportation infrastructure. The thesis concludes that the realization of development possibilities would strengthen even more the importance of manufacturing industry in the Zlín region.
