Issue of Occupational Diseases in Paramedics

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku nemocí z povolání u zdravotnických záchranářů. Nárůst nemocí z povolání v posledním zaevidovaném roce prudce vzrostl nárůstem onemocnění Covid-19. Z tohoto důvodu je teoretická část zaměřena na pracovní lékařství a jeho historii na světové i české úrovni. Dalším zaměřením je zejména vymezení pojmu nemoci z povolání a jejich podrobné dělení, se kterými se lze setkat při výkonu povolání zdravotnického záchranáře, součástí práce je také prevence těchto nemocí. Hlavním cílem průzkumného šetření je zjistit informovanost zdravotnických záchranářů o problematice nemocí z povolání, a jaké nemoci se vyskytují mezi respondenty nejčastěji. Pro průzkumné šetření je zvolena metoda kvantitativního šetření za využití techniky online dotazníku. Průzkumné šetření proběhlo v období leden-březen 2023. Vyhodnocená data byla získána od oslovených respondentů, kteří byli ochotni poskytnout potřebné informace k ověření znalostí v dané problematice. Nemoci z povolání se mohou stát závažným stavem ohrožující zaměstnání zdravotnických záchranářů, je proto nutné takovým nemocem předcházet. Jako doporučení pro klinickou praxi lze uvést zvýšení ochranných opatření a zajištění dostatečné edukace o problematice.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of occupational diseases among paramedics. The increase in occupational diseases in the last recorded year increased sharply due to the increase in Covid-19 disease. For this reason, in the theoretical part we focus on occupational medicine and its history at the worlds and Czech republics level, and we focus in particular on the definition of the concept of occupational diseases and their detailed division, which can be encountered during the performance of the profession of a paramedic, an integral part of this work is also the prevention of these diseases. The main goal of the exploratory survey is to find out the awareness of paramedics about the issue of occupational diseases and which diseases occur most often among the respondents. For the exploratory research is chosen the method of quantitative research, using the online questionnaire technique. The exploratory survey was performed since January 2023 until the end of March 2023. Evaluation of the data obtained from the interviewed respondents, who were willing to provide the necessary information, to verify knowledge in the given issue Occupational diseases can become a serious condition threatening the employment of paramedics, so it is necessary to prevent such diseases. Recommendations for clinical practice include increasing protective measures and ensuring sufficient education on the issue
