Abstract:

Bruxismus je pro mnoho osob laické veřejnosti spíše neškodný jev a jen málo lidí mu přikládá jakoukoli pozornost. Bakalářská práce zabývající se bruxismem poukazuje na to, jaké škody v dutině ústní může patologické zatínání zubů a třecí pohyby čelistí způsobit. Začátek práce je věnován okluzním vztahům, dále je podrobně rozebrána etiologie, klinické projevy a možnosti řešení tohoto problému v ordinaci zubního lékaře či dentální hygienistky. Praktická část je provedena formou dotazníkového šetření mezi osobami trpícími bruxismem a nadměrným zatínáním čelistí. Následně je v rámci případové studie rozepsán protokol pacienta trpícího bruxismem s popisem výroby intraorální nákusné dlahy.

Abstract:

By most non-professionals bruxism is considered rather harmless condition and only few people pay any real attention to it. This bachelor's thesis deals with bruxism and the aim is to point out the damage in the oral cavity that can be caused by pathological clenching of teeth and frictional movements of the jaws. First part of the thesis deals with occlusal relationships and the detailed etiology of bruxism, clinical manifestations and the possibilities of solving this problem in the office of a dentist or a dental hygienist. The practical part consists of a questionnaire among the people suffering from bruxism and pathological jaw clenching and a case study. A protocol was created that describes a patient suffering from bruxism including a description of the production of an intraoral bite plate.
