This diploma thesis deals with English relative clauses and their Czech translation equivalents. The aim of the thesis is to detect predominant tendencies occurring in the relative clauses. The theoretical part introduces corpus linguistics in general. Diplomová práce se zabývá anglickými vztažnými větami a jejich českými překladovými protějšky. Cílem práce je zachytit převládající tendence ve vedlejších vztažných větách.
