Diplomová práce se zabývá starověkými představami o mezopotámském podsvětí za použití sumerské a akkadské literatury. Závěrečná práce popisuje jednotlivé literární texty, z nichž vycházejí následující kapitoly, ve kterých je zaznamenáno, jak vypadala říše zemřelých, jaké zde vládly podmínky pro existenci duší a jak bylo možné se do podsvětí dostat. The diploma thesis deals with the ancient ideas of the Mesopotamian underworld using Sumerian and Akkadian literature. This thesis describes particular literary text, where is the Realm of death write down. This diploma thesis shows how the underworl looked like, what were the conditions for the existence of the souls and how it was possible to reach the netherworld.
