Students’ Arguments in the Virtual Observations

Abstract:

Odborné diskuse se shodují v tom, že aktivní žákovská participace a argumentace ve výuce ovlivňují procesy učení, vyučování a ovlivňují také vzdělávací výsledky žáků. S touto diskusí bývá spojen koncept dialogického vyučování. Cílem této předložené studie je prozkoumat datový soubor v podobě virtuálních hospitací za účelem zjištění četnosti žákovských replik s argumentem, které jsou označovány za klíčového ukazatele dialogického vyučování. Virtuální hospitace byly součástí projektu Kurikulum G a měly mapovat důsledky kurikulární reformy včetně rozvoje klíčových kompetencí. Předložená studie se tedy zabývá na základě kvantitativního šetření přítomností žákovské argumentace ve virtuálních hospitacích a také učitelskými konverzačními kroky, které tyto argumentace zahajovaly. V druhé části této práce je na základě kvalitativního šetření zjištěno, zda a jak dialog ve virtuálních hospitacích hodnotí učitelé a experti, kteří virtuální hospitace analyzovali. Výsledky tohoto výzkumného šetření tak nabízí přehled konsekvencí s žákovskou argumentací, označují konverzační kroky učitele, které žákovskou argumentaci zahajovaly nejčastěji a ozřejmují, jak na dialog ve svých hodinách nahlíží učitelé a jak jej hodnotí oboroví didaktici.

Abstract:

Professional debate agrees that an active pupil‘s participation and discussion in class affects learning processes, teaching and also has influence on students' educational outcomes. The concept of dialogical teaching is often connected to this debate. The aim of the presented study is to examine the data set in the form of virtual observations in order to determine the frequency of student replicas with an argument, which are identified as a key indicator of dialogical teaching. Virtual observations were part of the Kurikulum G project and were supposed to map the consequences of curricular reform, including the development of key competencies. The presented study therefore deals with the presence of student argumentation in virtual observations on the basis of a quantitative investigation, as well as the teacher conversational steps that initiated these arguments. In the second part of this work, based on a qualitative survey, it is found out whether and how the dialogue in virtual observations is evaluated by teachers and experts who analyzed virtual observations. The results of this research survey thus offer an overview of the consequences with pupil argumentation, indicate the conversational steps of the teacher who initiated the pupil argumentation most often and clarify how teachers view dialogue in their lessons and how it is evaluated by experts in the field of subject didactics.
