Process-built Enterprise Architecture

Abstract:

Přestože jsou manažerské metody podniková architektura a procesní řízení již dlouhá léta běžnou součástí podnikového řízení, jejich provázání v teorii I praxi tvoří mezeru v poznání. Autor se v diser-tační práci zabývá porozuměním možností a přidané hodnoty obou metod a navrhuje taková přizpů-sobení, která by mohla přijetí a sladění obou metod v podniku zvýšit. V části práce, popisující teore-tická východiska, se práce věnuje zejména porozumění prvků tvořících podnikovou architekturu, významu podnikových procesů pro fungování podniku a problematice zlepšování procesů. Na zákla-dě závěrů teoretických východisek autor formuluje předpoklady pro návrh vlastního metamodelu podnikové architektury a referenčního modelu procesů byznys architektury podniku pro použití v rámci transformačních aktivit podniku. Oba uvedené modely jsou následně zkonstruovány a vy-světleny s využitím soustavou formulovaných předpokladů a konstruktů, které zohledňují současné poznatky v oblastech podnikové architektury a procesního řízení. Platnost předpokladů a obou mo-delů jsou prakticky ověřeny formou vícenásobné případové studie v podnikovém prostředí.

Abstract:

Although both managerial methods the Enterprise architecture and the Business process ma-nagement have been common ingredients of enterprise management for many years, their linkage to theory and practice still makes a gap in knowledge. The author discusses the possibilities and ad-ded value of the two methods and suggests adaptations that could increase the acceptance and alignment of both methods in the enterprise. In the part of dissertation, dealing with the theoretical background, the dissertation deals mainly with the understanding of the elements that make up the enterprise architecture, the importance of the business processes for the functioning of the enter-prise and the problem of process maturity. Based on the theoretical background, the author formu-lates the assumptions for designing its own Enterprise architecture metamodel and business process reference model for use in transformation activities of the enterprise. Both models are then esta-blished and explained using set of prerequisites and constructs that take into account current know-ledge in Enterprise architecture and Business process management. The validity of the assumptions and both models are practically verified in the form of a multiple case study in the enterprise envi-ronment.
